Back on track, nice poll options! Provides better insight than who wins.

    Harlingen wins big.

    Scout?!

Lol, just run your offense and play good defense. Harlingen coaches will do the rest...

Damnit C85. Hurts cuz it’s true. Here is my wish/prayer for the next couple weeks. Reyna went down early forcing us to use our other weapons against South. Those other weapons weren’t too shabby. Are they world beaters, no. Capable talent, heck yes. Use these new found weapons against Rivera, hit em early and often. Build up their confidence, get em going. This will give us a much better shot against Weslaco. If we go back to our two play offense, Galvan up the middle and pass to Reyna, game over.

    LOL, sorry.

Harlingen has a chance vs. Weslaco, but it's going to call for a well-executed, mistake free game..something Harlingen has yet to do. Sadly, it won't happen. Obviously, this is the game to do it, but again, doubtful.

Only chance in hell that Harlingen has in defeating Weslaco is by playing a mistake free disciplined game and "that" is not in Harlingen's character because our coaches don't preach it or hold these kids accountable to their mistakes. Great to be back in the playoffs, but if we go 1 and done, then what's the point? Our coaches need to be more well rounded like coaches from San Antonio area, teams from the north are well disciplined teams.

I agree it’s a long shot and our best shot will take all of the above. Disciplined team play all around and balance on offense in the sense of sharing the ball and utilizing all weapons.

In a perfect world, I agree that Harlingen should take this game in the 1st quarter. But I am having a Steve Colbert / Nancy Pelosi moment and wish we would not count our chickens before they hatch.

Hey where is the Harlingen nifu nifa option in the poll. Rivera will release all the frustration of all the recent losses. The last four seasons Rivera is 2 wins and 37 losses in their last 39 games (both wins were against Porter). This will change this weekend when Harlingen keeps running the same play over and over. Hey it could happen...… but of course will not. LOL all kidding aside Harlingen should take this game to the tune of 48 to 3.

Still remember them Awesome Rivera Raiders from the Tom Chavez Era. Good Defenses and Offenses. I have much respect for the Raiders from Browntown and Pharr North Raiders. They gave the Cardinals very good games in the past.
The goal for the Raiders should be to score a td and then see if they can keep the score close. You never know.

A Victory against Weslaco is a lot closer than you thinks. We played a schedule from best to worst so it looks bad. But it is attainable, these are the same coaches as in the past (for the most part) and the overall discipline was never there in the past we just had exceptional athletes. Most people didn't see it.

Agreement by coaches to run clock with no stop in play in mercy call. Card starters held out, 2nd stringers started game. 3rd stringers in already

Dang. Sadly I thought this would happen. Heard earlier this week the starters may sit out. Eh I give up. Was gonna try to make this thread a lil interesting but it’s an impossible task. Someone start the Harlingen vs Weslaco thread.
