Default Mercedes Tigers @ Sharyland Rattlers

The Sharyland Rattlers will host the Mercedes Tigers on Friday, October 26th at Richard Thompson Stadium... Sharyland is coming off of a dramatic last second win over the Pioneer Diamondbacks while the Tigers are coming off their own close call over the Valley View Tigers... I'll take Sharyland in another close one.

It will be a good game , and a close one. I take Ron ADAME , to take the lead in the series 2-1. DBs need a lot of work... Mercedes will take advantage of our weak secondary and try to get a lead on early, if that happens it could be bad. D needs to start off with a stop or two to begin w like against Pio and get a score early on too , and never give a lead more than a possession. Good Luck to both teams! GO Rattlers!

Unless Mercedes has improved a lot since the Pioneer game I’d be shocked if Shary loses or the game is close. The only way that happens is by turnovers or lots of mistakes by Shary.

Shary’s 3 turnovers to 0 for Pioneer last night helped keep that game close.

I really like what I saw vs
    Vv
Holding them to 11pts was great they were scoring points
In there last 6 games saw 2 goal line stances for defense
And we were able to get the win .
Not sure anyone kept vv to 11 pts this year.
We have had injury bug like all year but its next man up
Just hope for a great game like shary vs pioneer...

No one has been able to hold VV to 11pts because they hadn't played anyone... Pioneer jumped on them early only to let VV back in the game, other than Pioneer they had faced a bunch of weak 4A programs...

Yeah, the fact that Pioneer doesnt have a defense had a lot to do with it...

If the Tigers can eliminate the penalties and play 4 qtrs on Offense, we have a shot. If not it will be a long night for us

One, Tigers need to avoid costly penalties Against Pioneer we got 15 penalties and against Valley View we got 14 penalties for 112 yards. That is still way too many. To beat a good team like Sharyland we must execute, score at least 28 points, and play tough on defense and not allow big plays on offense. Tigers cannot afford to play from behind because they are not necessarily a come from behind team. Hope to watch a good game but Tigers might have to play the game of their lives. Go Tigers!

Sorry to hear the news that Oscar Valdez of Shary who won the starting QB position is lost for the season with a torn ACL. He was injured early in the 1st qtr. of the game between Pioneer. I hate to see that happen to any kid especially a senior. Edgar will have to step up his game and improve moving the chains and preventing turnovers.

Major blow for the Rattlers to lose Oscar for the season and post season. Edgar will really need to get hot, be consistent, and hope he does not get hurt. Do you know who is next on the QB depth chart?

Moving up Benji, not sure of last name from the JV. He's the one who has been getting most the reps on the JV this year. I assume #14 (don't know his name) who's been playing slot and kick return will also be one of the backups since he got reps last year as a sophomore.
