I saw that Sinton was struggling. That's not like them at all.

It was expected a couple of years ago. They'll have some good groups coming up the ranks soon enough.

Sinton hasnt struggled too much since Tom Allen took over.

Best wishes to the Sinton Pirates.

Qb position was the main question mark entering this season, Brown still gaining experience but has been difficult with O line gaining experience themselves. Next up Beeville(3-0) then Yoakum(2-1), this group has the kids to improve but looking like will take some time. Did like soph rb #25 Chris Burk getting some carries late won't be long before he's in there more.

i know you posted in downlow if Sinton had coaching changes, they had couple i think maybe 3 in staff if i remember right from reading before season started. Coach Allen has been filling spots on his staff through out his coaching career in Sinton. He started out 1-9 his first season and went next 10 seasons never starting out 0-2 until this season. He has only been able to be on golf cart this season to be out there with the team. Here a story on him

2 favorites to start the season are at the bottom so far.

Rockport-Fulton has La Vernia(4-0) and Sinton has Yoakum (3-1) next, both might be 1-4 heading into district in few weeks when they meet in first district game.

Sinton/Beeville highlights. Some improvements for Sinton hang in there for 3 1/2 qtrs before flood gates opened.

Some improvements offensively from previous games, help having their best lineman back since first half of the first game of the season. Sinton had 4 good drives all led to tds, two of them to start the 2nd half other than that nothing doing against Yoakum defense. Yoakum has some good backs. Good luck to Bulldogs hope to see them at Jerry's World on TV again.

Some highlights from game last night.

Top 2 teams favored before season at the bottom, they square off in 2 weeks in Sinton.

Right now it looks like Sinton & Robstown would be missing the playoffs. When was the last time Sinton missed the playoffs?

U guys should take care of Bruni, but beating R-F will be encouraging regardless of R-F's record, tough non-district schedule!

Both Sinton and Rockport had tough non-district schedules. Problem is, Rockport was competitive in their losses. Sinton was blown out in theirs. IMO, Rockport ends up winning the district. I think it'll be between OG & Sinton for 2nd and 3rd. Ingleside most likely the 4th seed. I don't see Robstown doing anything. West Oso might throw a wrench in the works if they beat Ingleside, but WO's non-district schedule was pretty soft for the most part, which won't really help them in the end. I don't see WO beating Sinton, OG, or Rockport.

Good portion still learning to be starters on varsity level for Sinton, offensive line looked better this past game against a pretty good defensive team from Yoakum, they held Cuero to 20 points and Needville to 21 pts. Sinton will most likely drop a close one to Rockport which might be one of the the top teams in this region with their defense. They had chances to win the games they lost to El Campo, Alice and La Vernia. They held a high power Goliad team to 20 points.

I think most of the teams in this district have good portion of their teams back from last year, Sinton has lot of new faces in their and its showing. Right now they're around West Oso league if they don't improve the rest of the season but these kids have won in each level just now need to prove where it counts in Varsity.

Orange Grove is about the same as last season which was okay. 3rd spot right now from this point of the season would be a battle between Sinton, Ingleside and West Oso.

From previous post from T94 in downlow i just saw he migght be right Sinton 5-5 or 6-4 if they suprise Rockport at home.

Sinton should be getting their first win of the season along with some good experience for those young players.

they have 3 freshmen on varsity, one of them a starter on the offensive line, defensive tackle Elijah Brown if he gets to his brother size he has few more inches to grow he'll be a dominant player. The other two freshmen are twins they have started to show progress on offense as wr/rb.

Sinton fr Rylan Galvan #23 with a big game and sr Christian Bess with back to back 100 yd plus rushing game. Still alot of work to get the offense rolling but positive steps each game. Good game to run the offense to get ready for district opener against a solid defense in Rockport-Fulton. Sinton 60 Bruni 0 Final

Sinton should get their first district win next week over Robstown.

Rockport should be able to handle West Oso

    Orange Grove should beat Ingleside
