While driving thru La Villa this morning I was noticing their new up grade sports facilities. New Baseball and Softball Stadium with turf fields. Also new Turf on their football field. So I was wonder how many school in the valley have replaced their grass fields with turf.
6A Weslaco, Donna, PSJA, Mcallen, Edinburgh,Mission, La Joya, San Benito, Los Fresnos and Browsville.
5A E-E, Mercedes, Rio Grade City, Roma and Valley.
Sub 5A Hidalgo and La Villa.
If I missed any school feel free to list them.

I always thought turf equaled artificial turf which was understood not be “astro turf”.

Was at Los Fresnos United today and just as I thought they do not have a turf field. They might get one in the near future but up to this day no turf at United.

It will eventually turn into the second high school but not anytime soon. The LFHS stadium at the high school as turf and so does United !!!
