A trick play specialist, he connected on a 30-yard pass attempt in 2002 and in 2003, he threw a 23-yard touchdown. Throughout his collegiate career he was a part of every special team for the Blazers.

He played one season at Belhaven College in Jackson, Mississippi as a true freshman.

I guess he didn't get hired. Funny thing trouble I never knew I was talking to the new DC in La Villa at the Stripes. We started talking while we were in line waiting to order some tacos. He mention he had come down to get a tour of the place he was going to start working real soon. Taco lady at Stripes asked me what I wanted and I never finish talking to the guy so I could ask him where was it that he just got hired. Yesterday I saw a picture with The E-E ISD School Board the New HC and him in it.

Chavez is a good coach, and his resume speaks for itself. I spoke to several head coaches from the Coastal Bend area. They had nothing but good things to say about him.

Not according to Rush82, who ironically ONLY posts in this forum when former Pioneer HC is involved... Coincidence? I think not...
