The ship sank on February 21, 2017 the evening Infante was hired. Myself and others tried to say it was a bad hire but some would have none of it.

I don't want to be the guy to say "we told you so" but.............."WE TOLD YOU SO!"

    What a fiasco.

I'm not saying it was the wrong/right hire but it seems as if PI fans were hoping it went bad.

Heard from a friend who knows one of the board members that the position will opened up in the next few days
Don't look now but the Texans may have found a QB

Not at all! We were hoping for the best, but we knew it was going to go poorly. In the end, it's the kids, especially the Senior class that had to suffer through this.

Straight from this year’s Valedictorian/LB #42 Brian Chavez. Don’t nothing else matter except THE KIDS and this is what PIISD took away from them. No scandals, no BS, just results for 16 years.

So they're not going to promote someone from the current staff? IMO, opening it up to outside applicants is the best option considering everything. Hopefully the process is done quickly, at least before the current school year ends so that the new coach can at least meet the kids.

Spread coach. Not a fan. Would love him as a DC though.

I know of one. Not an RGV area coach but he has been applying to jobs all over South Texas. He was the choice for the Pearsall job last month, but the board went with someone else.

Well, Joe Gonzalez always seemed to have a strong running game out of the Spread at Raymondville. Isn't he still on staff at PI?

Pi will once again surprise us all again I really don't
Expect the board and admin to do the right thing
The sup is trying to save her own skin this hire was all her
Her lack of experience has showed and has hurt the program
This hire never should of happened in the first place
He is a veteran coach and he does this
With his brother as the sup it makes you wonder what went on in lyford. Pi needs to do the right hire this is a mess

What about Wheeler head coach and Johnny Galvan back to run the offense . They worked together well once before .
