    Default UIL Snapshot

This Friday schools will start to turn in their enrollment numbers. Will SoTx see a drastic change or will they stay the same?

I donít see much change in the 6a or 5a ranks but lower classification could very well change.

First realignment move is Bro. St. Joe moving down in TAPPS from 6a to 5a.

I will be interested in what Donna ISD turns in

As a district they had 4468 8th-11th graders according to PEIMS reports last year

divide that by two and you get 2234

Mission ISD had 4733 but Mission high may have more of that
RGC had 3246 which is also interesting

The 4 Brownsville 5A schools were about 100 students from 6A. Not sure if they had any growth. If not, no changes expected.

    HAPPY SNAPSHOT DAY!

A couple of #s I'm interested in seeing: Lyford & Mercedes.

Mercedes has always JUST been over the 4A into 5A line, and Lyford has been very slightly below the 4A/3A line. A few kids here & there could put them both in 4A. Mercedes to 4A D1, Lyford to 4A D2.

Changes are happening all over the state in El Paso one of the 6A schools El Dorado reported 5A numbers as they had another school absorb a lot of their students Pebble Hills and interestingly enough El Dorado is having an okay season while Pebble Hills first year with seniors is sitting at 7-0.

Mercedes has always JUST been over the 4A into 5A line,

Nope. Mercedes has never been close to dropping. Mercedes has the main high school campus and early college campus. Close to 1200 at main campus and over 300 at early college. They have separate number codes for testing purposes but early college students participate in all UIL activities with the main campus. Seriously doubt they would ever separate. Too much money for travel in the sub 5A districts plus MISD can't afford to bankroll a whole new athletic and music departments among other costs.

That would be an interesting question then. Would Early College kids be counted towards the total?

Also, if you have 1200 at the main campus that's actually pretty damn close to the proposed 4A cutoff. Supposedly it's going to be around 1190 or so.

Also, just seen this on another forum. Relevant to those in the 4A districts

Bishop 488. Possible move up to 4A D2. Will most likely be in the PI/RH/Raymondville district.

    October 27, 2017*

    *Matt Stepp

October 27, 2017 is UIL Snapshot Day — the day in which the University Interscholastic League collects the enrollment data they will use to formulate the district alignments for the 2018 and 2019 Texas high school football season. While the new classifications, regions and districts won’t be announced until February, this is our first clue of who will be moving up, who will be moving down, and what the state of Texas high school football will look like for the next two seasons. Not all schools reveal their numbers, but Dave Campbell’s*Texas Football*has the largest collection of enrollment data this side of the UIL itself.*Feel free to share this data, but please credit Dave Campbell’s Texas Football.

Texas Football high school insider Matt Stepp is collecting verified snapshot numbers! If you have a*verified*snapshot number that is not listed below, contact Stepp*via e-mail*or*on Twitter.

Yes they are counted towards the total but are now listed separately but assigned to same classification as the main campus. I've seen it posted on a UIL pdf called the Realignment Alphabetical Listing.

Just made a call to PIISD. Was given 690 for Port Isabel, but that's not the actual # turned in by the district. Just the # of students currently enrolled at the HS.
