Here are 3 senior wide receivers for 2017 for Sinton. Should be one of Sinton strongest teams with combination of sophomore, junior and senior class.
    Andrew McGowan

    Daryl French

    Tristan Canales

It is going to be a interesting year for pi. I see them 3rd or 4th. I see hidalgo doing well From what I hear the kids are responding well with stump. Hidalgo always has good kids and usually when they get a good football coach they do well. If they are able to turn it around hidalgo will have a very dominant boys sports program. Actually the most dominant in 4a.

Agree on Hidalgo they're going to be better than past few years and most likely improve as the season goes. They're consistantly good in basketball and baseball year in and year out.

PI wait and see how quick they pick up the offensive scheme will determine what seed they get.

District 16-4A Division II looks to be stronger this year with Hidalgo finally being part of the playoff contention with the help of Stumbaugh. Every team in that district now seems viable to be a contender for a playoff spot.
I can see either Kingsville King taking the district crown this year or a repeat from RGC Grulla. La Feria could easily take second or third place, or possibly even first. Hidalgo will be good but I feel it's going to take just a tad bit to set up the culture and winning ways, which Monty should have absolutely no issue with. Pirates could potentially be as high up as 3rd. The Zapata Hawks return some experienced players and will be good, it's just tough seeing how well they'll do right now with Hidalgo in the mix.

    My prediction:
    1. Kingsville King Brahmas
    2. RGC Grulla Gators
    3. La Feria Lions
    4. Hidalgo Pirates
    5. Zapata Hawks

    District 16-4A Div. II Prediction:
    1. Rio Hondo
    2. Orange Grove
    3. Raymondville
    4. Port Isabel
    5. CC West Oso
    6. Progreso

Orange Grove has been the thorn in Rio Hondo's side the past three seasons. Raymondville could be a darkhorse for the district crown if they can shore up their defense. Port Isabel might struggle early in the season, but they will play spoiler to anyone that steps on the field.

The District title, IMO, is Rio Hondo's to lose. Offensively, this will be the most explosive unit since 2008. Defensively, Coach James always has the BLACK PLAGUE D among the top defenses in the district and RGV.

    My 16-4A DII prediction:
    1. RH
    2.RAY
    3.PI
    4.OG
    5.WO
    6.PROG

The district this year is Rio Hondo's to lose. They look to be the strongest team by far coming back, but Orange Grove has always given them problems, case in point 2016. Raymondville brings most of their team back and could be a thorn in the side of Rio Hondo and/or Orange Grove. I think Raymondville will straight up beat PI and won't finish worse than 3rd. I think PI will struggle all year offensively and will have to fight tooth and nail with West Oso for the final playoff spot. If PI still can't get anything going offensively, there is a very strong chance PI loses to West Oso and doesn't make the playoffs at all.

    My prediction.....

    1. Rio Hondo
    2. Orange Grove
    3. Raymondville
    4. West Oso
    5. Port Isabel
    6. Progreso

As for Port Isabel's non-district, I'm unsure if PI will be playing Tomball Christian again this year. If they aren't and haven't been able to replace them with anyone else, I predict 0-4 going into district play. The only game PI might come close to winning is Hidalgo, but their coach will have a MASSIVE chip on his shoulder and will want to shove the football up the Tarpons' proverbial rectal cavities to prove a point to their "leadership", and I use that word loosely, that they made a big, BIG mistake.

85 you do realize the Cards were an I-formation offense for many years before switching to the spread.

There were skeptics too, but it worked out.

Hopefully, the transition also fares well for PI.
