Default Best winning percentage in the playoffs

Looks like PORT ISABEL has the best all-time winning percentage in the playoffs. When it comes to the playoffs PI gets tough.

Surprised no one else played six man ball. My father in law was on a few of those teams and I knew a few more members of those teams. I'm kind of a new member of town. Only been around for 30 or so years.

    Go AP Falcons.

Default Ed Couch-Elsa winning percentage in playoffs

EE's winning percentage in the playoffs doesn't look very impressive. Seems like they are satisfied with winning District. It's time to take it to the next level. Win in the playoffs, don't be satisfied with the local teams. Quit bragging about beating Port Isabel, your supposed to beat them, they're a smaller division than you.

There is no room in your mind for negative thoughts. The busier you keep yourself with the particulars of shot assessment and execution, the less chance your mind has to dwell on the emotional. This is sheer intensity.

Here's my excuse: When PI plays EE it's before District Competition. PI
doesn't get going until District starts. Then, when it's playoff time they
shift gears and that's why they are able to advance in the playoffs and beat
some really good teams. Unlike EE, who chokes once they get to the playoffs.
Hopefully one day you'll know what it feels like to make it to the Semi-Finals.
By the way, once you guys do make it to the Playoffs, we at PI always root for EE!

    GO TARPONS!

What is EE's winning percentage in the playoffs? Let me know if you need some help in Math.

Rico we root for PI also.
As for your lame excuse that you don't get going till distrist time is a bunch a bull. It all depends how teams match up with each other. And E-E has given PI a hard time matching up. As far as playoff it also depends who you play. i would like to see PI play Cal Or GP in the first round every year and lets see how many times PI gets out of the 1st round. Just ask Los Fresnos. As soon as they got out of 4A and started playing in the 5a playoff they started going to the 3rd round.

    lmka,

In order to make it past the first two rounds of the playoffs, which PI has done several times, you've got to beat some pretty good teams.(Halletsville, Edna, Refugio, Hondo, Bandera, Sinton, Liberty Hill, Rice Consolidated, Cuero)

Yes EE has been hard to beat (PI 5-9 EE) and it makes PI better when we do play them. But I don't think you guys can say that you dominated every game. As I recall all of the games were pretty close except two.

By the way did you ever figure out EE's playoff record? Do you need some help?

...and neither do 90% of the other team's records up there. But for some reason you chose to call out EE. I guess when you're the top dawg...

    Hunterbunter,

Just stating a fact. Just like the E-E fans like to state the fact that they have a better record against PI and granted they do. All I'm saying is that
PI has a better play-off record than E-E. Just a fact.

Rico yes PI has beaten those teams but no way can you compare them to CAL & GP. Both GP & CAL are way better then those teams hands down.

    Rico you make the call.
    2009 E-E 14-13
    2008 E-E 40-19
    2007 E-E 41-33
    2006 E-E 49-7
    1997 E-E 16-00
1996 PI 26-6 (BUT PI FORFEITED DUE TO INELIGIBLE PLAYER
    1995 PI 10-18
    1994 PI 27-20
    1987 E-E 15-14
    1986 PI 28-21
    1985 E-E 10-6
    1984 PI 28-21
    1971 E-E 36-12
    1970 E-E 50-00

Rico I see PI win's against E-E as the only close win's. The majority of E-E win's are blowouts.

    lmka,

You can't be a ******* all your life. Open your eyes, expand your
horizons. Look beyond the Valley. Try beating some of the teams
from up-state. It's a great feeling when you go past the check point,
with your vehicle all decorated and you actually beat State Ranked
Teams. Maybe someday E-E will get a chance to experience it.

By the way what's E-E's winning percentage in the play-offs?

    GO TARPONS!

I believe we have beaten a state ranked team. Does Cal ring a bell. We did also beat Brenahm. Plus which Valley tean can say they have beaten Cal, GP & Alice in a 3 year span. Plus E-E did beat Austin lanier in the playoff when they were ranked 10th in the state.
