Never has, just a track guy. Heard Shary has been sending their JV to Varsity meets also.

FYI, these times don't mean anything until they are FAT. That's my biggest issue with Track & Field in the Valley. College coaches will not take those times seriously. Hand times are timed by teachers at high schools. Need way more FAT meets in the valley. As far as I know. Weslaco is the only school district with the FAT system. Things need to change, for the kids, and stop giving them false hope. Gives these kids a false hope and questions as to why they didn't get recruited but they ran a 10.7.

Hey HMW....I dont know if you teach or if coaches got memo or if they just come here and read...but if it was you thanks......my sis inlaw was approched this week and threw tonite with thw fish...she was kinda disappointed cause she did not throw her best...she threw 30, 10 on shot and 115 on diss...she got first in both by a good margin....I am proud of her ..we spent so much time in here over the summer and I know she can do almost 7 fft better in the shot ....I tell her she will have her chance to shine.....coaches told her she will throw with varsity next week...im excited but worried......over the summer she was getting a constant 2nd to that superstar from PI ...and I do mean SUPER STAR.....anyways...I will try to get some video of her in action...but I think you will eventually know her.

Last year it was one of the better RGV track meets imo. Robert Garza of the Chicago Bears was there in person. No prelims, all results are final.
For anyone interested in going this evening, here's the schedule...

No prelims, all times will be finals. I kind of like it that way. Better than having the kids sit out in the sun all Saturday running prelims then waiting for the finals later in the day, especially when they are in multiple events.
So, Bobby Lackey Stadium tonight, be there around 5 and you're good.
